Jillian Ross, also known as The Ferment Lady, is a devoted homesteader and passionate Fermentation educator with over 10+ yrs of hands on experience. Her work is rooted in ancestral food tradition, skill building, and a strong belief that true nourishment begins in your own home kitchen. She's had the privilege of studying under Sandor Katz, author of The Art of Fermentation, where she was able to deepen her understanding of various preservation methods, as well as the importance of the cultural history behind living, flavorful, foods and beverages. After spending most of her life in Florida's hot and humid climate, Jillian now resides in the Mountains of Western North Carolina, where she continues to teach hands on workshops, mentoring and inspiring others to reconnect with their food, the land and a diverse microbial community. Through a simple course outline she helps people build confidence, self-reliance, and a passion for rediscovering their personal health. Her approach is practical, rooted, and honest: "Fermentation isn’t complicated, it’s just ancestral wisdom waiting to be remembered."
